Jacques Villeneuve is set to return to the Indianapolis 500 this year, driving a third car for Schmidt Petterson Motorsports.The team will announce the 1995 winner's return during a special media event on Wednesday at 2PM Eastern time on Wednesday.
News of Villenueve's return to America's biggest open wheel race comes after it was announced that the 1997 Formula One world champion will compete in the new FIA World Rallycross championship.
However, with the Indianapolis 500 clashing with the British round of the WRX championship, Villeneuve will miss the event at Lydden Hill.
