Davide Rigon will race in the FIA World Endurance championship this year for the championship winning AF Corse squad.The move comes after the 27 year-old spent 2013 competing in the Blancpain Endurnace Series and International GT Open Series, he will now take part in all eight rounds of the WEC in a Ferrari 458 GT2.
The identities of his team mates are yet to be revealed but Toni Vilander and 2013 GT-Pro champion Gianmaria Bruni are both expected to be retained whilst Giancarlo Fisichella and Kamui Kobayashi have both left AF Corse to compete in TUSSC and Formula One respectively.

As well as competing in the WEC, Rigon will also continue to act as a test driver for the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team. He put pen to paper on a two year deal and will continue to work alongside Marc Gene and Pedro de la Rosa on testing, simulator and promotional activities for the Prancing Horse."The Scuderia Ferrari is my second family and it's a great satisfaction to have the opportunity to cooperate with the worlds's most important and famous team." said Rigon. "We carried out a well-defined programme over the last seasons, so, having the opportunity to follow up on that, it's really exciting."
Rigon has been with Scuderia Ferrari since 2011 and has participated in the young driver test for the Italian outfit for the past two seasons.
