Jordan only needed to finish the last race in the points to seal the championship whilst shedden needed a win and for Jordan not to score to secure a second consecutive crown. Shedden's win was not enough as jordan battled through the pack to finish ninth.
Jason Plato also went in to the final race with a shot at the championship but the two time champion could not do enough to take a third crown, coming home in tenth.
Jordan's championship win is the second consecutive championship win for the Team Dynamics built Honda Civic and he is also the sixth different champion in as many years as well as being the second consecutive first time champion.
There is no rest for the 24 year-old though who plans to test at Donington on Thursday as he looks to defend his title in 2014.
