Authorities seize Lotus LMP2 cars at Le Mans

The Kodewa Lotus squad has been dealt a major setback with the Le Mans 24 Hour race just days away after both of their Lotus T128 LMP2 cars were seized by authorities.

This shocking turn of events came after a court ruled that the team had failed to meet financial commitments to an as of yet unnamed partner.

The cars, gearboxes and suspension components were all reportedly dismantled and loaded onto a flat bed truck on Tuesday (18th June) evening before being taken away from the Circuit de la Sarthe.

James Rossiter, Kevin Weeda, Christophe Bouchut (# 31) and Thomas Holzer, Dominik Kraihamer and Jan Charouz (# 32) were set to drive the cars this weekend.

Details as of yes remain unclear.
